Each bar or bat mitzvah, unless enrolled in a Jewish day school, must complete four full terms of grade 7 before their Bar/Bat mitzvah.

Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 4:00 and 5:30pm and students can choose whether to come Tuesday or Thursday.

During the year we explore diverse and exciting topics such as:

- Life Cycle Events: Why is the bar/bat Mitzvah at age 13/12?
                                What do you do when someone dies?
- Ethical Standards of the Jewish People (Tikkun Olam and Mitzvot)
- Our Jewish Story and Jewish Objects/Prayer and God.

Classes involve lively and engaging discussion. This is also a wonderful opportunity to make new friends!
