Emanuel Synagogue offers opportunities for the youth of our congregation to grow and learn together. We are committed to providing a high quality, informative, fun program for our post b’nei mitzvah students.

Students in Years 8-10 meet on Mondays evenings from 6:00pm - 7:15pm. They get together with one another, study some Jewish text, learn Jewish concepts, or explore ancient ideas. Students are able to engage in discussion about controversial and current topics relevant to life as a Jewish teenager. Some programs feature guest speakers, arts and crafts, music, and other surprises. Plus - there's pizza!

Parents can come to Our Jewish Story class which is running at the same time as Pizza with the Rabbi. The whole family will head home feeling challenged and refreshed, having engaged in a little midweek taste of Judaism (and the kids are already fed!)

The Pizza with Rabbi group meet for 4 weeks at the beginning of each school term.

Term 1:  Mondays 1, 8, 15 and 22 February
Term 2:  Mondays 3, 10, 17, 24 May

Netzer is a dynamic youth movement, committed to shaping the future of the Jewish community in Australia, Israel and the world. We work to create a community of knowledgeable, empowered youth committed to personal and ideological hagshama. Our vision is realized through education and personal engagement with Israel, progressive Judaism, and the principle of Tikkun Olan. Netzer Sydney is part of a vastly growing community. Each week we run meetings in the North and East of Sydney. These meetings are run by graduates of the Shnat Netzer program, and have spent a year in Israel training to lead their chanichim (participants).
