Over four weeks we’ll meet four grassroots organisations, all involved in developing a new language of co-operation and collaboration between Israelis and Palestinians.

TAGHYEER is an independent Palestinian organization working towards creating innovative and safe spaces, where Palestinian youth and adult are inspired to take action for creating positive change and confront negativity. We stand by youth to turn our challenges into opportunities, by fostering their imagination and
creativity though boosting entrepreneurial skills and strengthening capacities.

ECOPEACE Middle East is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israel environmentalists. Our primary objective is the promotion of cooperative efforts to protect our shared environmental heritage. In so doing, we seek to advance both sustainable regional development and the creation of necessary conditions for lasting peace in our region. EcoPeace has offices in Amman, Ramallah, and Tel-Aviv.

ROOTS is a unique network of local Palestinians and Israelis who have come to see each other as the partners we both need to make changes to end our conflict. Based on a mutual recognition of each People’s connection to the Land, we are developing understanding  and solidarity despite our ideological differences. Roots is a place where local peoples can take responsibility. Our work is aimed at challenging the assumptions our communities hold about each other, building trust and  creating a new discourse around the conflict in our respective societies. This is a grassroots and local model for making change — from the bottom up.

KIDS4PEACE is a global movement of Jewish, Christian & Muslim youth, dedicated to ending conflict and inspiring hope in divided societies around the world. We are trying to change the conversation
— to bring new questions, and new answers to the struggle for peace, ones that are based in real relationships of trust and understanding.

Presented by Emanuel Synagogue, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and Kehilat Masada
